I'll return soon to retelling more episodes from the past, but this post
digresses to provide a pictorial record of the Easter/Passover weekend
in Toronto.
Spring had come to Toronto by the time I got there on the train from Ottawa on Friday April 6, which was both Passover and Good Friday. It was a perfect sunny day, trees bursting into leaf, tulips and daffodils in bloom, birds and squirrels enjoying life as much as people. David's wife Desre mounted a Passover-Haggadah party for all the Last family members who were able to get there, and for her friends Richard Wells, Judith and Don. She fed us in spectacular fashion, with some help from Richard. Here are some photos taken at that event, and the next day.
Chris, David and me, at Hemingway's, the Toronto watering place that has been very successfully run by an ex-pat New Zealander for the past 30 years.
